S’mores
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bread
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
- 1 graham cracker, crushed
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray the inside of your pie iron with cooking spray.
Place one slice of bread in the pie iron.
Add chocolate chips and marshmallows on top of the bread.
Sprinkle crushed graham cracker over the marshmallows.
Top with the second slice of bread and close the pie iron.
Cook over the campfire for about 2 minutes on each side.
Carefully open the pie iron and check if the s’more is golden brown.
Let it cool for a minute before enjoying your gooey, chocolatey treat!
Peanut Butter and Jelly
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons jelly or jam
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Butter for greasing
Instructions:
Beat the egg, milk, and vanilla in a shallow bowl.
Spread peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other.
Put the slices together to make a sandwich.
Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
Grease your pie iron with butter.
Place the sandwich in the pie iron and close it.
Cook over campfire or grill for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Carefully remove from the pie iron and enjoy your tasty treat!
Apple Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions:
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place one slice, butter side down, in the pie iron.
Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Top with the other bread slice, butter side up.
Close the pie iron and trim excess bread.
Cook over campfire for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before eating.
Cherry Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray your pie iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Press one pie crust into each side of the iron.
Spoon 1/4 cup cherry filling onto one side.
Add 1 tablespoon cream cheese on top of the cherries.
Close the iron and trim excess dough.
Cook over the campfire for 5 minutes on each side.
Carefully open the iron and check if the crust is golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before enjoying your tasty treat!
Campfire Pizza Pockets
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bread
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your favorite pizza toppings
- Butter
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray your pie iron with cooking spray.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place a slice in the pie iron, buttered side down.
Spread pizza sauce on the bread.
Add cheese and toppings.
Top with the second slice, buttered side up.
Close the pie iron and trim excess bread.
Cook over the campfire for 3-4 minutes per side.
Check occasionally to prevent burning.
Your pizza pocket is ready when golden brown and crispy!
Breakfast Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bread
- 1 egg
- 1 sausage patty
- 1 slice cheese
- Butter
- Nonstick spray
Instructions:
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Spray pie iron with nonstick spray.
Place bread in pie iron, buttered side down.
Add egg, sausage, and cheese.
Top with second bread slice, buttered side up.
Close pie iron and trim excess bread.
Cook over fire until golden brown.
Open carefully and enjoy your hot sandwich!
Stuffed French Toast
You’ll need:
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- Butter for greasing
Instructions:
Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Mash blueberries into cream cheese.
Spread cream cheese mixture on two bread slices. Top with remaining slices.
Dip sandwiches in egg mixture.
Grease pie iron with butter.
Place sandwich in pie iron. Cook over campfire for 5 minutes per side.
Check for golden brown color and melted filling.
Serve hot and enjoy your stuffed French toast!
Grilled Cheese
You’ll need:
- 2 slices of bread
- Butter
- 2-3 slices of cheese
- Pie iron
Instructions:
Butter the outside of both bread slices.
Place one slice in the pie iron, butter side down.
Add cheese slices on top of the bread.
Cover with the second slice, butter side up.
Close the pie iron and trim any excess bread.
Cook over campfire coals for 4-7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Check for golden brown bread and melted cheese.
Carefully remove and enjoy your gooey grilled cheese!
Ham and Cheese Crescent
You’ll need:
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 slices ham
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Place a slice of ham on each triangle. Fold the edges to fit.
Cut each cheese slice in half diagonally. Put two triangles on each piece of ham.
Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end.
Place the rolls on the baking sheet, with the pointed end underneath.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your tasty ham and cheese crescents!
Nutella and Banana Biscuit
Ingredients:
- 2 biscuits
- Nutella
- 1 banana, sliced
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray your pie iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Split the biscuits in half.
Place one biscuit half in each side of the pie iron.
Spread Nutella on one biscuit half.
Add sliced banana pieces on top of the Nutella.
Close the pie iron and latch it.
Cook over the campfire for about 5 minutes per side.
Check occasionally to prevent burning.
Remove when the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is warm.
Let cool slightly before enjoying your tasty treat!
Chicken Pot Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 pie crusts (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, celery)
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onions and cook until soft.
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly add broth and milk, stirring constantly until thick.
Mix in chicken and vegetables. Season with salt and pepper.
Line a pie dish with one crust. Pour in filling.
Cover with second crust, seal edges, and cut slits for steam.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Tuna Melt
You’ll need:
- 2 slices of bread
- Butter
- 1/2 can of tuna
- Mustard
- Dill relish
- Cheddar cheese
- Sliced tomato (optional)
Butter one side of each bread slice. Place one slice in the pie iron, buttered side down.
Add tuna, a squirt of mustard, and a dollop of dill relish. Top with cheese and tomato if desired.
Close the pie iron with the other bread slice, buttered side up. Cook over the campfire until golden brown and crispy.
Open carefully and enjoy your tasty tuna melt!
Caprese Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2-3 slices of fresh mozzarella
- 1-2 slices of ripe tomato
- Fresh basil leaves
- Olive oil
- Balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Spray the inside of your pie iron with cooking spray.
Place a slice of bread in one side of the iron.
Layer mozzarella, tomato, and basil on the bread.
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Top with the second slice of bread.
Close the pie iron and trim any excess bread.
Cook over the campfire for 3-4 minutes per side.
Carefully open the iron to check if the cheese is melted.
Remove your sandwich and enjoy your tasty Caprese treat!
Pulled Pork Sandwich
You’ll need:
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/4 cup pulled pork
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 1 slice of cheese
- Butter
Instructions:
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place one slice butter-side down in the pie iron.
Add pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and cheese on top.
Cover with the other bread slice, butter-side up.
Close the pie iron and cook over the campfire for 3-4 minutes per side.
Check for a golden-brown color and melted cheese.
Carefully remove your hot sandwich and enjoy!
Quesadillas
You’ll need:
- 2 tortillas
- Shredded cheese
- Optional fillings (chicken, beans, peppers, etc.)
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray both sides of your pie iron with cooking spray.
Place a tortilla in one half of the iron.
Add cheese and your chosen fillings.
Top with the second tortilla.
Close the pie iron and trim any excess tortilla.
Cook over the campfire for about 5 minutes per side.
Carefully open the iron to check if the cheese is melted and tortilla is golden.
Let it cool for a minute before enjoying your crispy, gooey quesadilla!
Cornbread with Chili
You’ll need:
- 1 box cornbread mix
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans
- Chili seasoning
- Shredded cheese
Instructions:
Prepare cornbread mix as directed on the box.
Cook beef, onion, and garlic in your pie iron until beef is browned.
Add tomatoes, beans, and chili seasoning. Cook for 5 minutes.
Pour half the cornbread batter into the pie iron.
Add chili mixture on top.
Cover with remaining cornbread batter.
Close pie iron and cook over campfire for 10-15 minutes, flipping occasionally.
Open carefully and top with cheese before serving.
Cinnamon Roll Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
Preheat your pie iron over campfire coals.
Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bag. Add biscuit pieces and shake to coat.
Brush the inside of your pie iron with melted butter.
Place coated biscuit pieces inside, filling about halfway.
Close the pie iron and cook for 3-4 minutes per side.
Open carefully and check for golden brown color.
Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze.
Remove bites from pie iron and drizzle with glaze.
Enjoy your warm, gooey cinnamon roll bites!
Monkey Bread
You’ll need:
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Cut each biscuit into quarters. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bag. Shake dough pieces in the mixture.
Grease your pie iron. Layer coated dough pieces inside. Drizzle with melted butter.
Close the pie iron and cook over campfire coals for 8-10 minutes. Flip occasionally.
Open carefully and enjoy your gooey, pull-apart monkey bread!
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 package chocolate chip cookie dough
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Spray your pie iron with cooking spray.
Open the cookie dough package and place about 2 tablespoons of dough on each side of the iron.
Press the dough down slightly to spread it out.
Keep the pie iron open and place it over the campfire.
Cook for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
Carefully remove the cookies from the iron and enjoy your warm, gooey treat!
Eggs in a Basket
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cut a 2-inch hole in the center of each bread slice.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
Place bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2 minutes.
Crack an egg into each hole.
Cook for 2-3 minutes until egg whites start to set.
Flip carefully and cook for another 2 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot and enjoy your eggs in a basket!
Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 pie iron
- 2 canned crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin pie filling
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Cinnamon sugar (optional)
Instructions:
Spray the inside of your pie iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Open the can of crescent rolls and stretch one roll to fit each side of the pie iron.
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie filling onto one side of the dough.
Close the pie iron, making sure to seal the edges of the dough.
Cook over campfire coals for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Carefully open the pie iron and remove your pumpkin pie pocket.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if you like, and enjoy your warm treat!
Peanut Butter and Banana Toast
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 banana
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
Toast your bread until golden brown.
Spread peanut butter evenly on both slices of toast.
Slice the banana and arrange on top of the peanut butter.
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt if you’d like to enhance the flavors.
Enjoy your tasty and filling peanut butter banana toast!
Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced steak
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 2 slices provolone cheese
- 2 hoagie rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions:
Heat oil in a skillet. Add onions and peppers. Cook until soft.
Remove veggies. Add steak to the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook steak for 2-3 minutes, stirring often.
Add veggies back to the pan. Mix well.
Place cheese on top. Cover and let it melt.
Butter the rolls and toast them.
Spoon the mixture into rolls.
Close your pie iron and cook over the campfire for 3-5 minutes each side.
Carefully remove and enjoy your hot, cheesy sandwich!
Jalapeño Popper Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bread
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 2 jalapeños, sliced
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Butter
Instructions:
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Spread cream cheese on the non-buttered side of one slice.
Add jalapeño slices, bacon bits, and cheddar cheese.
Top with the other bread slice, buttered side out.
Place in pie iron and cook over campfire for 3-4 minutes per side.
Open carefully and enjoy your spicy, cheesy treat!
Apple Cinnamon Pudgy Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place a buttered slice in the pie iron, buttered side down.
Add apple slices on top of the bread.
Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over the apples.
Top with the other bread slice, buttered side up.
Close the pie iron and trim excess bread.
Cook over campfire for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before eating. Be careful, it’s hot!
